Dr Mumthas Fariz Musaliar is an active zoologist to encourage and motivated forestation projects throughout Kollam District since 2012.

She was awarded her Ph.D. from University of Kerala in Marine Benthic Diversity and Toxicology in 2018. She had achieved her M.Sc., B.Sc. Degree in Zoology, B.Ed. in Natural Science from University of Kerala with SET and KUJRF. She is also proficient in DCA, Tally and Peachtree.  Completed NLP programme and currently pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology (PGDCS) under University of Kerala.

She has already published 14 International and National Research papers, 04 International  Books, 03  Book  chapters,  05  International  proceedings,  08 Popular  articles, 11  Scientific papers  presented  in International and  National Seminars, Attended  State,  National  and  International workshops (25) and initiated (20) Extension/Consultancy activities.

She has many years of Teaching experience and Research experience, with Membership in several academic bodies – Life Member Marine Biological Association of India, Sessional Member:  Indian  Science Congress Association (2017), Life Member: The Ethological Society of India,  Life Member: Indian Ecological Society for Environment Safety and Food Security, Life Member, and Reviewer: Science Academia, Life Member & Reviewer – Elsevier International, Life Member in Research Gate. Memberships  in non-academic bodies  – Life Member  & Vice Chair Person: Kerala  Sasthra  Sahithya  Parishath,  Content writer @ Ashtamudi Live news, Life Member – Ezhuthukoottam, Kerala,  Life member & Volunteer-WWF.

Honours/Prizes awarded: Educational appreciation award (2020), Educational Excellence award   (2019),  Certificate  of  Merit  –  First  Place  &  Best  Oral presentation  award  (2016), Best Paper  Award  (2016), Mother Teresa Open Merit Scholarship  (2008),  Certificate of Appreciation  (2008)  and  was Best outgoing student (2008).
